Review of a conference to mark the centenary of Daniel Paul Schreber’s Death

I was lucky enough to attend an extraordinary conference over the break entitled: “Daniel Paul Schreber centenary – 200 years of Sonnenstein: The Modern Experience and the Performance of Paranoia.” The full report appears here on H-Madness, the history of psychiatry blog. Here are some additional photos:

“Schreber Revisited,” a special issue of the European Journal of Psychoanalysis, has just been published: http://www.psychomedia.it/jep/pages/number31.htm Edited by Zvi Lothane, it includes a fabulous paper by Andrea Wald originally presented at the conference: “On a Breakdown in Science: The Paranoid’s World and the Baroque.”
