Belief (Medicine Unboxed Symposium, Cheltenham, November 2012)

Medicine Unboxed is an NHS project which describes a view of medicine which, whilst scientifically informed and technically good, is not reduced to the mechanical but elaborated by the arts and philosophy to a wider understanding of humanity, illness and medical care. We see this as a valuable platform for a necessary conversation between the public and healthcare around the goals and limits of medicine.

This year our event is themed ‘Belief’. Confirmed speakers include Anthony Grayling, Bryan Appleyard, Rupert Sheldrake, Jane Macnaughton, Marius Brill, Richard Holloway, Iona Heath, Tim Parks, Darian Leader, Ray Tallis and Jo Shapcott. Download the 2012 Medicine Unboxed Flyer for more details.
