Jointly organised by the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and colleagues at University College London, the 56th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Society for Social Medicine will provide the opportunity to report new research findings, debate academic and policy issues, and will offer early stage researchers, among others, the chance to present in a friendly, relaxed environment. The conference will include a mix of lectures by key note speakers, parallel sessions, poster presentations and workshops which will be of interest to both UK and international delegates.
The conference will run from Wednesday lunchtime 12th September until Friday lunchtime 14th September 2012. It will be preceded by a number of meetings on Tuesday 11th September.
The Society welcomes abstracts on all aspects of social medicine, including health services research, epidemiology, public health, statistics, sociology, psychology, health policy and/or mixed methods research.
Abstracts can only be submitted via the conference website and are due by 19 March 2012.
