We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide long term sickness cover on a multi-centre project assessing the feasibility of evaluating an intervention (Men in Sheds) that aims to improve the health of older men. The post-holder will be based at Lancaster University and work as part of LiLaC: the Liverpool and Lancaster Collaboration for Public Health Research. LiLaC is one of eight leading academic centres of excellence in the NIHR School for Public Health Research which aims to increase the evidence base for effective public health practice.
The post holder will undertake a systematic review of published and grey literature on gendered social activity interventions for older men focusing specifically on Men in Shed programmes. They will have a PhD in health research, gerontology or a related social science discipline. Experience in undertaking systematic reviews is essential. You will be familiar with narrative synthesis and willing to engage in internal and external collaborations.
