Welcoming Prof Ludmilla Jordanova to Durham University

The Centre for Medical Humanities warmly welcomes Professor Ludmilla Jordanova, who will be joining  Durham University in September 2013 to take up a Chair in History and Visual Culture.

Among her numerous research interests and achievements, Ludmilla has made very significant contributions to the field of medical humanities. Following on from her wonderful contribution to the series of talks associated with the ‘About Face’ exhibition at the DLI Art Gallery last summer, Prof. Jordanova is already working with colleagues in CMH on a book to accompany the lecture series, ‘The Recovery of Beauty’, and we greatly look forward to the many ways in which she will enrich and extend the medical humanities research agenda in Durham.
