Senior Lecturer in Medicine and English Literature (University of Exeter, apply by 12 December 2012)

The College of Humanities at the University of Exeter seeks to appoint a permanent full-time Senior Lecturer whose research explores the relationship between Medicine and English Literature from 1st September 2013 at the latest.

The successful applicant will already hold a Ph.D. in an area of twentieth-century literary studies. S/he will be able to demonstrate the following qualities and characteristics: an outstanding publications profile; a strong record in attracting research funding; team skills to work in collaboration with existing group members and take on leadership roles where required; an active and supportive approach to inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary research that will help to foster interactions and links within the University and externally; the attitude and ability to engage in continuous professional development; the aptitude to develop a variety of strategies to promote and assess learning; and an enthusiasm for delivering undergraduate programmes.
