‘The Delivery of Integrative Health Care in the Wake of the Bhopal Gas Disaster’

Melanie will talk about community-led health organizations in Bhopal, and their unique way of delivering holistic and integrative health care to victims of the 1984 Bhopal Gas Disaster and of ongoing water contamination resulting from the lack of governmental and corporate accountability regarding this tragedy. She specifically emphasizes the high rates of children and families affected by physical and mental disabilities in Bhopal and the inspiring women activists dedicated to improving their lives through social support, physical therapies and education.
